Tam Mei is an assistant foreign editor at The Straits Times and oversees coverage of South-east Asia. Before this, she was based in Bangkok as ST’s Thailand correspondent, and had a front-row seat to the region’s rich and colourful cultural, social and political happenings. She began at ST in 2016 covering security and social issues, with stints at the manpower and weekend feature desks. In her current role, Tam Mei hopes to highlight the dynamic and vibrant developments in the region and beyond.
