SINGAPORE - The BS Industrial and Construction Supply Covid-19 cluster, which has been linked to eight Covid-19 cases, has been closed.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Saturday (Feb 20) there have been no more cases linked to the cluster for the past two incubation periods, or 28 days.

A 39-year-old permanent resident, who works in sales at the firm, known as case 59429, had tested positive for the virus on Jan 18.

On Saturday, the ministry reported 12 Covid-19 cases - all imported and placed on stay-home notice upon arrival here.

They bring Singapore's total to 59,858.

The new cases comprised two Singaporeans, two work pass holders, one work permit holder, three student's pass holders, two short-term visit past holders, and two dependant's pass holders.

The number of new cases in the community has decreased from eight cases in the week before to one in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community in a week fell from five to one over the same period.

With 22 patients discharged on Saturday, 59,704 have fully recovered from the virus.

A total of 20 patients remain in hospital, including one in critical condition in intensive care, while 90 are recovering in community facilities.

Singapore has had 29 deaths from Covid-19 complications, while 15 who tested positive died of other causes.
