Businesses selling Chinese New Year goodies say setting up stalls at CNY fairs helps to increase sales

The tills are ringing at festive fairs across Singapore as consumers load up on snacks and goodies for Chinese New Year (CNY). Businesses say their sales at such fairs - held in malls such as The Clementi Mall, Nex and Causeway Point - can account for 50 per cent of total sales during the CNY period.

This is the case for home-grown bakery Baker's Brew, which has boosted its presence in CNY fairs this year.
