Road safety campaign launched in Watten, Hillcrest

A ground up effort to promote road safety and deter speeding in the Watten/Hillcrest neighbourhood - an initiative called "Be Kind, Drive Safe" - was launched on May 6, 2024. The key to this initiative is a “countdown approach” where planter standees and banners are placed at strategic intervals along Greenwood Avenue, Watten Estate Road and Hillcrest Road to educate drivers on how many minutes it would take to reach the main road if they drive under the speed limit.
