Dip in commuter satisfaction warrants a more watchful eye

SINGAPORE - Two pieces of news reported here in the last two weeks must resonate with the millions who rely on buses and trains regularly.

First, the Public Transport Council's annual commuter survey revealed a drop in satisfaction in 2021. Although the absolute percentage score remained high (92 per cent), the figure represented a 5.6 percentage point drop from the previous year - one of the biggest slides in over a decade.
