NAC chief Low Eng Teong hopes people view Council as first port of call for the arts

SINGAPORE – At the end of the interview, Mr Low Eng Teong, chief executive officer of the National Arts Council (NAC), pulls out his sketchbooks.

The 54-year-old, who took over from Mrs Rosa Daniel in March, studied art at O and A levels and still sketches “to relax”. The books are filled with everything from travel sketches of temple ruins to class studies of nudes.
