South Korean officials to meet Xi, Abe

Two senior South Korean officials who met with North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un last week will split up to meet with leaders of China and Japan. National Security Office head Chung Eui Yong will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping today while spy agency chief Suh Hoon will speak with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Tuesday.


Picnic at Istana for children

Children from Rainbow Centre, Care Community Services Society and First Toa Payoh Primary School will be having a picnic at the Istana today as part of an initiative to make the Istana more accessible to Singaporeans. The children will take part in a series of activities and will be spending time with volunteers from Disney On Ice and the Youth Corps Singapore.


Release of January retail sales figures

Retail sales for January will be released today by the Singapore Department of Statistics. With stronger economic growth, economists will be watching to see the impact on retail sales. However, there may be some distortion to the January and February figures due to Chinese New Year.
