Presidential hopeful Donald Trump has signed Republican loyalty pledge

(Reuters) - U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump on Thursday said he had signed a pledge not to run as an independent if he loses the Republican Party's nomination.

"I see no circumstances under which I would tear up that pledge," Trump said.

He had previously refused to rule out a third-party bid if he did not win the Republican nomination for president in 2016, a possibility that worried the party's establishment.
