One does not easily wrest the crown from the "King of Clay". If Dominic Thiem is going to lift the French Open trophy at Rafael Nadal's expense today, it will not be just through his own efforts.

"Rafa on clay is like (a) wall, it's very difficult to destroy that wall. Whether anybody else has a chance at Roland Garros depends on Rafa," said his fellow Spaniard Alex Corretja, 44.
