Singapore’s SEA Games male paddlers all local-born for first time since 1997

Ethan Poh scratched his head and smiled sheepishly when asked to recall the last local-born male Singaporean table tennis player he watched on television as a child.

But the national paddler cannot be faulted for a lapse in memory. After all, the 20-year-old was not born the last time an all-Singaporean born men's team competed at the SEA Games in 1997.
