Rugby: Asia Pacific Dragons set to compete in SCC International Sevens

THE Singapore Cricket Club has confirmed that the Asia Pacific Dragons, winners of last year's Hong Kong Rugby Tens tournament, will be participating in the Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) International Sevens after accepting their late entry submission.

The Dragons are set to challenge defending champions Daveta's two-year stranglehold on the Ablitt Cup with their star-studded line-up, which features former and current international players from Fiji, Samoa, and Japan.

Stars set to headline the SCC Sevens include Samoa's Mikaele Pesamino and Fiji's Rupeni Caucaunibuca. Pesamino was the top try scorer in the 2009/2010 International Rugby Board Sevens World Series, while Caucaunibuca was France's rugby Player of the Year in 2006.

The competition will be held at the Padang from Nov 1-3.
