Cycling enthusiast Alan Grant set a new mark in the Singapore Book of Records for the longest distance covered on a stationary bike in six hours by a male.
His distance of 217.2km smashed the previous record of 142.4km set by Zeng Yukai in June 2008.
The record-breaking feat was achieved during a 24-hour event at Orchard Gateway ending at noon on Saturday, marking the launch of registration for OCBC Cycle 2016. Online registration starts from 10am on Monday at www.ocbccycle.com
