History will be made at One Championship's Spirit of Champions card in Manila on Dec 11, when the Singapore-based duo of Angela Lee and Christian Lee become the first brother-sister pairing to compete in the popular Asian mixed martial arts promotion.
Submission specialist Angela, 19, will look to extend her three-fight win streak against Polish debutant Lena Tkhorevska.
She will be joined in One's ranks by 17-year-old Christian, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt holder who will make his professional debut against Australian featherweight David Meak.
The teenager, who will be the youngest fighter in One Championship history, said: “My sister and I are very close and we both share the same goal, so fighting in Manila with her will be a dream come true for both of us.”
Born in Canada and raised in Hawaii, the duo recently moved to Singapore to turn professional, training with the elite Evolve Fight Team that includes Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.
"If you thought I was good, Christian is on another level - he's a beast who is more than ready to make a name for himself in MMA," said Angela, who drew the loudest cheers for her dominant performance at One's recent card at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The upcoming event at the Mall of Asia Arena is headlined by the inaugural One Championship heavyweight title clash between Brandon "The Truth" Vera and Chi "Chopper" Lewis-Parry.
One Championship chief executive Victor Cui said: "Manila has always been one of our favourite cities because the support for One Championship and MMA is tremendous.
"We have prepared an amazing lineup of fights for our passionate Filipino fans who are eager to witness our unique brand of world-class MMA."
