Among the tribes I admire in sport is one that is physically unremarkable and rarely recognisable. It comprises people who must be everywhere at one time, own the patience of kindergarten teachers, carry more equipment than soldiers and have the timing of champions.
They are the sports photographers and every morning I look for their work. Because they distil thousands of words of emotion into a single frame.
