Golf: Lam finishes third in Panasonic India Open

LAM Chih Bing failed to end his four-year Asian Tour title drought on Sunday, coming up short at the Panasonic India Open in New Delhi.

The Singaporean golfer finished third at the Delhi Golf Club, having blown a four-stroke lead he held at one point during the third round.

The 36-year-old carded an even-par 72 for a 281 total.

Australian Wade Ormsby picked up his first professional title with a commanding wire-to-wire victory at the Delhi Golf Club. Firing a 71 and 279 total, the Adelaide native took home US$54,000 (S$67,000) for his efforts. Lam, on the other hand, earned US$18,900.

Koh Dengshan, the only other Singaporean to make the cut, closed in 62nd spot after a 74 (299 total).
