Let's be honest, after the second free practice session in Singapore on Friday, did anyone really expect Ferrari to end up with their first 1-2 since Hungary 2017? Or their first hat-trick of wins since 2008?

If there was one consolation the vanquished Mercedes and Red Bull teams had taken away from Belgium and Italy, it was that they would get back on terms with the red cars round the floodlit streets of Marina Bay. But they didn't.
