Ahead of December's Asean Para Games in Singapore, national lawn bowlers and their club counterparts sharpened up by competing in the President's Challenge Trophy at the Kallang Green yesterday. Singapore Cricket Club's Melvin Tan claimed the singles title, while Mary Lim and Chng Ming Li - also from SCC - won the pairs title. The triples crown went to Pang Heng Heck, Anthony Loh and Hoe Siok Ching from Evergreen Lawn Bowls Club. SCC lifted the overall team title. The event was organised by the Lawn Bowls Association for the Disabled (Singapore).
