Usain Bolt was late - eight minutes and 55 seconds to be exact. In that time, the retired Jamaican sprint king could have completed his world-record 9.58sec century sprint almost 56 times.

But the 100-strong crowd at the Drumley Conference Centre at the Commonwealth Games Main Media Centre forgave him, and took in every word the 31-year-old uttered.
