Muslim Singaporeans celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri today have exemplified the spirit of Ramadan over the past month by helping the less fortunate and coming together to pray, said Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, wishing them "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri".

The community can reach greater heights by continuing to give back beyond the month of Ramadan, Mr Masagos said in his first Hari Raya Aidilfitri message since taking up the Muslim Affairs portfolio last month.

"I am confident that no challenge is too great if we stay united, persevere, and strive relentlessly for our dreams and aspirations," he added.

Last night, President Halimah Yacob also sent her Hari Raya greetings in a Facebook post: "Wishing all Muslims a joyous celebration and enjoy the festivities ahead. Selamat Hari Raya Aidlifitri!"
