The fire at a factory in Tuas continues to rage on, and road closures have been effected at Tuas Ave 7, Ave 8, Ave 9, Ave 10 and Tuas Lane.

The factory is located at 9 Tuas Ave 10 and road users are advised to avoid these locations.

A fire broke out at the factory in Tuas on Friday evening. Pictures provided by Straits Times readers in the vicinity showed thick plumes of black smoke from the building.

There have been no further updates of injuries, said a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman at 7.30pm.

SCDF said it received a call about the incident, which occurred at Tuas Avenue 10, at about 5.17pm.

Firefighters are in the midst of putting out the flames, the spokesman added.
