HSBC staff, partners help spruce up homes

Off came blazers and ties as more than 700 HSBC employees and customers rolled up their sleeves to help spruce up the homes of 245 needy children and seniors. Called All In A Day's Work, the event, which lasted from Wednesday to yesterday, saw staff and corporate partners cleaning, painting and renovating an area in the beneficiaries' homes in just a day. New furniture was also brought in.
In addition, HSBC raised $226,010 for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.
