SINGAPORE - Air quality will be in the moderate range on Monday (Nov 9), the National Environment Agency (NEA) said in its haze update on Sunday.

Thundery showers are forecast in the afternoon, and visibility is expected to be in the normal range, NEA said.

The 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) was in the moderate range on Sunday.

At 6pm, the 24-hour PSI was 65 to 77, which is in the moderate range (51 to 100). The three-hour PSI was 83.

NEA said that the number of hotspots detected in Sumatra on Sunday was 28.

Rain in the region has helped to further improve the haze situation in Sumatra and Kalimantan, the agency added.

However, there is still some haze observed over parts of southern Sumatra.

Given the forecast, people can continue with normal activities, the NEA said.
