Arts on point: Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay turns 16
The Esplanade Theatres, fondly known as "the durian" because of the spiked roof, turns 16 this year. The venue has presented 3,000 performances, 41,000 shows and entertained 28 million guests since it opened in 2002.
