Last month, hundreds of former students paid their last respects to Mr Yee Teck Peng who died aged 90 after a lifetime of dedication as student, teacher, sports coach and the most ardent old boy of St Andrew’s School.

A familiar face in the 1960s to the 1990s in Singapore’s school rugby scene, he was redolent of a bygone era of Asian educators from across former colonies in Asia.
