Italian label Miu Miu is throwing a glamorous party on the first-floor atrium of Paragon shopping centre.
The high-fashion label, known for its quilted leather bags, has set up a disco-themed pop-up store.
The groovy 1970s-style pop-up will be open at the SPH Reit mall until next Wednesday.
Adorned with plush pink furnishing and glittery disco balls, the temporary 1,205 sq ft shop space has a mirrored bar with shelves showcasing the latest Miu Miu offerings. These include bags, shoes, small leather accessories, jewellery and T-shirts, as well as the label's new Laminato (laminated in Italian) collection.
The Laminato collection, which has not hit stores yet, features classic Miu Miu bags, including the Miu Lady and My Miu, made in gleaming metallic shades with buckles set with antique stones and gems.
The collection, with items ranging in price from $1,360 to $3,270, is currently available in Singapore only at the pop-up. It will launch internationally in April.
Miu Miu's pop-up is in line with the trend of global luxury fashion houses launching such stores. Fendi recently did a pop-up kiosk at Ion Orchard, while Chanel and Louis Vuitton had similar concepts here to much fanfare.
Such concepts also help malls offer their shoppers a different experience.
"The Miu Miu Disco pop-up brings about an extraordinary, unique and engaging retail dimension that will further enhance the shopping experience at Paragon," says a spokesman for the Orchard Road mall.
To celebrate the festive season, the pop-up also features a selection of accessories, shoes and ready-to-wear items for the Year of the Dog. These include a shimmering poodle-shaped key ring ($530) and poodle-shaped pearl earrings ($490).
