So you have the perfect hairstyle for your big night out. What about make-up to match?
Since these styles look more casual than the usual glamorous updos, amp up the make-up or risk looking underdressed.
That said, it does not mean one has to pile on the war paint. Just be strategic.
Here are three fail-safe looks.
1. The all-over glow
After prepping your face with skincare, pick a lightweight foundation or BB cream that will give skin a soft shine.
Draw on the brows, coat lashes with mascara, apply a cream blusher (to add on to the lit-from-within glow) and slick on a rosy pink lipstick.
2. Defined eyes
Go with soft, smoky eyes in navy, grey or brown.
Add a complementary metallic shadow on the inner corners of the eyes.
Complete the eye make-up with liner and mascara. Finish with a nude lipstick.
3. Bold lips
Accentuate one's pout with a bright pink, bright red or deep plum - whichever suits the skin tone best.
Keep the rest of the make-up simple: lightly defined brows, maybe a simple winged-liner and a dusting of bronzer under the cheekbones.
