BEIJING • Actress Zhang Ziyi and rocker Wang Feng welcomed a daughter in the United States on Sunday, she announced on Weibo.

"Dec 27, 2015, you, me and her..." she wrote in a post on Monday, which included a picture of two big hands holding a little hand. "With the birth of a little life, we have our own home. All is safe and smooth, infinite gratitude."

In the photo, the baby's fingers are as long and slender as her mother's. Zhang's thumbnail is adorned with a pink W and a heart.

Wang wrote on Weibo: "From now on, the dust will settle, spring will be warm, flowers will bloom."

Zhang, 36, and Wang, 44, are reported to have married in Hong Kong in May.

The child is her first and his third, reportedly.

He is said to have two daughters from previous relationships.

Zhang is a film star of international renown, with credits including Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) and House Of Flying Daggers (2004).

Wang is a judge on The Voice Of China, a popular singing competition show that may have helped him land at No. 14 on the Forbes China Celebrity List, above his wife (No.21).
