Chanmi, from girl group AOA, can dance, sing - and act. On Tuesday, the 21-year-old won an acting contest that pitted South Korea's idol singers against one another. In the final episode of I'm An Actor that was aired on cable channel K Star, she clinched the top spot based on results of past rounds that had participants re-enacting scenes from TV shows. Other contestants came from Mad Town, KNK, Nine Muses, April, Victon, Myteen and Momoland. K-pop stars often take on acting gigs, but there has been controversy over untrained, under-qualified singers landing major roles, reported The Korea Herald.
