French actress Juliette Binoche, winner of an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for The English Patient (1996), will be coming to Singapore for the Dec 5 premiere of her new film, Clouds Of Sils Maria, during the 4th Rendezvous With French Cinema.

The film event, held from Nov 28 to Dec 7, will also feature a retrospective programme of the star's works, including Summer Hours (2008), a drama directed by Olivier Assayas.

Assayas also directed her new film, Clouds Of Sils Maria, co-starring Hollywood actresses Kristen Stewart and Chloe Grace Moretz, which competed for the Palme d'Or at Cannes this year. It is about an actress who is asked to play an older role in a work that made her famous 20 years ago .

The 4th Rendezvous With French Cinema is organised in conjunction with the Singapore International Film Festival, which takes place from Dec 4 to 14.
