Gianna Jun gives birth to baby boy

Korean star Gianna Jun gave birth to a boy, her first child, yesterday. She married banker Choi Joon Hyuk in 2012. Both mother and baby are well, reported The Korea Herald, citing news from her agency.

The My Love From The Star actress, 34, has been on a break since appearing in the box-office hit Assassination last year.

Fuller back on Star Trek TV series

Veteran Star Trek screenwriter Bryan Fuller will return to his roots as co-creator and executive producer of the new instalment of the cult television series, CBS Studios said. The show returns on CBS next January.

"Before seeing a frame of the television series, the Star Trek universe lit my imagination on fire," said Fuller, who launched his career in the 1990s writing for Deep Space Nine and Voyager, two of the series in the sci-fi saga. Alex Kurtzman, who co-wrote and produced the 2009 and 2013 Star Trek movies, will co-executive produce.

Red Lobster sales soar on Beyonce song

American seafood chain Red Lobster's sales jumped by 33 per cent on Sunday, a day after Beyonce's new song Formation was released. The chain's chief executive Kim Lopdrup said sales went "well into the double digits" on Monday as well.

In the song, Beyonce sings that she rewards her lover by taking him to Red Lobster. She performed the song during the Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday.
