SINGAPORE - Cruising in the Maldives, I post just one photo to Instagram Stories using the Wi-Fi on the yacht - and then everything happens.

A 6m juvenile male whale shark is sighted and I rush to be the first in the water, desperate to glimpse the creature that has eluded me in eight years of scuba diving.
