SINGAPORE – The Opera People is staging a modernised version of La Sonnambula (The Sleepwalker) in celebration of its fifth anniversary.

Written by Italian opera composer Vincenzo Bellini, it premiered in March 1831 and quickly became popular. The leading role of Amina is renowned for its difficulty, requiring a soprano singer with immense control over her vocals.
