A check with the artist showed Mr Johnny Quek that his new purchases were forgeries.

Two months ago, Mr Johnny Quek shelled out more than $50,000 for what he believed were two paintings by Singaporean multidisciplinary artist Tan Swie Hian.
The director of Merlin Frame Maker & Art Gallery thought they were a good buy.
