SINGAPORE – Mr Christopher Forbes, head of an investment platform, learnt about the importance of money from a young age, as his father was thrifty but still worried about meals and monthly expenses.

His childhood experiences in a British working-class family of four pushed him to ensure that he grew up educated, got good jobs and invested for the future, as he saw how his parents’ lack of investments had held them back financially.
