Eye specialist and entrepreneur Mohamed Dirani has a goal of developing a foundation for academically inclined children who need financial help with tertiary education opportunities in medicine and entrepreneurship. He plans to set up the foundation with an initial amount of $1 million.
Dr Dirani, 38, is the founding managing director of Plano, a firm that aims to better manage smart device use and myopia in children worldwide.
