SINGAPORE - Climate change-fuelled droughts, hotter summers and decreased precipitation that spark serious wildfires are just some of the environmental troubles the United States has experienced in 2022.

Acreage that was burned by wildfires was 220 per cent higher in the US than the 10-year average, one reason why more Americans than ever believe that climate change will be an important issue in next month’s midterm elections.
