South Korean President Yoon likely to stick to hardline style even after election defeat: Critics

SEOUL – In the wake of a crushing defeat at the polls, he expressed humility, accepted blame for his administration’s shortcomings, apologised for not heeding public sentiment, and promised to communicate better.

But South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol went on to insist that he had “set the right direction for state affairs” and had “looked only to the people to take the path for our national interests”.
