BEIJING - A growing chorus of praise and pledges of allegiance to Chinese President Xi Jinping has emerged, as the top Chinese leader looks set to clinch a third term in power in a few weeks when party leaders gather in Beijing.

Over the past weeks, senior officials have penned lengthy articles paying tribute to Mr Xi in Chinese state media, while various ministries and agencies and local governments have organised study sessions on Mr Xi's political ideology and past speeches.
