Azmi is a photojournalist with The Straits Times, joining full-time in May 2023 after starting as an intern in 2016. His passion for photojournalism began in secondary school, inspired by crime scene photos in The Straits Times and The New Paper. At 15, he bought his first Nikon film camera and began exploring photography. Azmi enjoys being in the field, witnessing events as they unfold, and capturing those moments through his lens.
