Gabrielle Chan

Gabrielle joined The Straits Times’ newsroom in 2022 fresh out of university, where she had majored in politics, law and economics. She began her career covering breaking news, before focusing on education coverage. Her work spotlights students of all ages – from pre-schoolers to lifelong learners, and the systems that shape their journeys. Outside work, Gabrielle enjoys running, loves Bali, and thinks both are best with sand between her toes and a tan to show for it.
