SINGAPORE - A lucky punter who spent $1 on the QuickPick option won more than $8 million when he emerged as the sole winner of Monday's (May 16) Toto draw.

The prize - totalling $8,045,163 - is the second largest amount won by a single person for a Toto draw in Singapore. Another punter had walked away with $9.5 million in the Feb 11 draw.

The winning numbers for the May 16 draw were 1, 10, 24, 26, 36 and 47, while the additional number was 4.

Eight other people won the the Group 2 prize of $91,209 each.

According to information posted on the Singapore Pools website, the winning ticket was purchased at Kim Chwee Trading, located on the ground floor of Block 256, Jurong East Street 24.

Punters usually choose the QuickPick option when they do not have any numbers in mind, with the system generating a random set of numbers for them.

The next Toto draw, which takes place on Thursday (May 19), will have an estimated jackpot of $1 million.
