(THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Malaysian student Janice Tan Yin Ern lost in the China reality show Sing! China, but her mentor Mandopop king Jay Chou has invited her to perform at his concert in Kuala Lumpur in January, reported major Chinese dailies.

Being the youngest contestant, the 16-year-old Penangite competed with three other contestants, who are also from Chou's team, in the latest episode of the show, which was aired last Friday (Sept 29).

The superstar will be performing at his worldwide The Invincible 2 Jay Chou Concert Tour 2018 on Jan 27, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Tan said she did not feel disappointed for failing to reach the final.

She said she was satisfied being able to go so far in the show.

Singaporean jazz singer Joanna Dong emerged as the winner in Chou's team. Dong will represent Chou's team in the final at the Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing on Oct 8.
