SINGAPORE – It may be almost two years to the 2025 edition of the prestigious Bocuse d’Or culinary championship, but Singaporean chef Mathew Leong is wasting no time sharpening his knives.

The 28-year-old is gunning for top honours – to be the first and youngest chef representing Singapore and Asia to clinch gold at the biennial competition, widely regarded as the culinary Olympics for chefs.
