SINGAPORE - Malaysia's temporary export ban on fresh chicken kicked in last Wednesday, but zi char chef Hoong Boon Leong is unperturbed.

The 46-year-old, co-owner of Wang Lee Seafood Restaurant, a coffee-shop stall in Toa Payoh, uses mostly frozen meats for his dishes.
