Harvey Norman celebrates grand opening of new Punggol Coast Mall store
From Aug 8 to 10, Australian retail group Harvey Norman will celebrate both National Day and the grand opening of its latest store at Punggol Coast Mall.
The 1,077 sq m store, located on Level 1, is sited in one of Singapore’s most vibrant residential districts, the Punggol Digital District, serving a community of young families, students and professionals. The mall is near the Punggol Coast Mall MRT station.
Harvey Norman has 11 other stores across Singapore, including its flagship in Millenia Walk.
The Punggol Coast Mall store is also poised to be a community hub and lifestyle destination, with its close proximity to the terminus of the North East Line, the Punggol Coast Bus Interchange and the Singapore Institute of Technology.
Prices for popular home items have been slashed. For example, an Acer Swift Lite 16 laptop now retails for $995 (usual price: $1,499). Dyson air purifier tower fans are going for $199 with Climate Vouchers (usual price: $909) and a Smeg washing machine-cum-dryer costs $285 with Climate Vouchers (usual price: $1,590 for 8kg washer with 5kg dryer).
The new retail space is designed to meet the community’s needs by bringing convenience, innovation and value under one roof.
“This store is a reflection of our ongoing vision to bring more AI technologies and smart living solutions to communities across Singapore,” says Ms Bernice Kwok, managing director of Harvey Norman Singapore and Malaysia.
The new store offers stylish appliances and tech gadgets in vibrant colours.

The National Heritage Board (NHB) has partnered Abry again to unveil a new line of merchandise celebrating Singapore’s history.
NHB first collaborated with the global distributor and retailer of luxury, fashion and lifestyle brands in February 2024. They created a contemporary capsule collection inspired by traditional patterns and visuals of fabrics from Singapore’s National Collection, an archive of objects and memories.
The new SG60 Layerings presents 60 items from 29 brands across 11 countries and territories, each blending tradition with modernity for a fresh take on Singapore’s heritage.
The merchandise sits within the National Collection By Museum Martket line, developed through a six-year partnership between NHB and Abry. This supports NHB’s efforts to cultivate a vibrant heritage ecosystem.
Among the featured artefacts are black-and-white images of Singapore’s nation-builders by the late photographer Lui Hock Seng, vibrant motifs of traditional fabrics and watercolour drawings of fauna and flora from the William Farquhar Collection.
Gifts, such as a line of handmade Orkids Dolls by home-grown boutique Kebaya by Ratianah, are priced at $128 each. Boutique owner Ratianah Tahir specialises in customising traditional attire such as kebayas. Each doll dons a kebaya made with fabric printed from the National Collection.
Info: Some gifts from SG60 Layerings are available at the Museum Martket By Abry store in the National Museum of Singapore and on Abry’s website ( str.sg/ufWQ
