SINGAPORE - Lloyd's, the world's biggest insurance market, is backing fresh sanctions aimed at punishing Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, the company told The Straits Times.
Western nations, led by the United States, have since announced a raft of sanctions against Russia that includes blocking some of its banks from Swift, the international payment system, and adding restrictions on the Russian central bank's international reserves.
