Feuding Donald Trump aides meet and agree to end 'palace intrigue'

Top White House aides Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner met and agreed to "bury the hatchet" over their differences, a senior administration official said, in a bid to stop infighting that has distracted from President Donald Trump's message.

Bannon, Trump's chief strategist, and Kushner, an influential adviser and Trump's son-in-law, met on Friday at the request of White House chief of staff Reince Priebus who told them that if they have any policy differences, they should air them internally, the official said.

Donald Trump has visited a Trump-branded property every 2.8 days of his presidency

For the 10th weekend in a row, US President Donald Trump is visiting a Trump-branded property. He has done so every weekend except the first two after his inauguration.

For the sixth weekend in a row, he's golfing at one of those properties; he's golfed on nine of those 10 weekends.

In total, Trump has spent time at one-or-more Trump-branded properties on 28 of the days he's been president - meaning that he visits a property that's part of his private business empire more than a third of the days he's been in office, or once every 2.8 days.

His trips aren't free, of course. Each weekend trip to Mar-a-Lago costs taxpayers an estimated US$2 million (S$2.8 million).

Football: Chelsea in champion form at Bournemouth, Spurs chase hard

Chelsea had the look of champions again as they maintained their comfortable seven-point advantage at the top of the Premier League with a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth - but Tottenham Hotspur will not give up the chase.

After Son Heung-min had scored twice in Spurs' 4-0 thrashing of Watford at White Hart Lane to cut Chelsea's lead temporarily to four points, Antonio Conte's men responded emphatically in the late game at Dean Court to move on to 75 points.

Chelsea were aided by Adam Smith's own goal before the outstanding Eden Hazard slid home a second and Marcos Alonso curled home a stunning freekick. Josh King scored his 13th league goal of the season in response.
