WASHINGTON – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Washington is aimed at shoring up US commitment to backing his country, at a time when long-term support from Congress and the American public may be wavering.
His surprise trip on Wednesday comes two weeks before the incoming Republican majority in the House of Representatives is sworn in.
