US increases reward for arrest of Venezeula’s Maduro to $64 million

- The US is offering a US$50 million (S$64 million) reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, US Attorney-General Pam Bondi said on Aug 7.

In a video posted to social media platform X, Ms Bondi accused Mr Maduro of collaborating with criminal groups like Tren de Aragua and the Sinaloa Cartel.

The US was previously offering a US$25 million reward for information relating to Mr Maduro, according to the State Department.

The Venezuelan Information Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment. REUTERS
