The “aliens” are coming – again and again.

An unidentified flying object on wheels was pulled over by the authorities in the US again, days after it was stopped by law enforcement officers from a neighbouring state for road violations.

The silver UFO car was pulled over by an officer from the Oklahoma highway patrol on July 2 for an obstructed tag.

The officer, trooper Ryan Vanvleck, let the occupants go with a warning, but not before he grabbed a selfie with the unusual-looking car and its occupants.

“It’s not every day you pull over a UFO,” the law enforcement agency said in a Facebook post on July 3.

The car was stopped by police from Crawford county

, Missouri, in late June for lane violation, as well as having an expired licence plate from the nearby state of Indiana.

The occupants of the vehicle had been headed to a festival in Roswell, New Mexico.

Roswell is well known as the site of an alleged 1947 UFO crash and now draws thousands of visitors to its annual UFO Encounter Festival, held in July.

The latest post by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol received more than 31,000 reactions, with many netizens saying they have seen the unique vehicle cruising down roads.

“Why you got to alienate them like that,” wrote Mr Holden LeCroy, while Ms Laura Kathy Deramus wondered how many times they “have been pulled over on this trip”.

Many also praised Mr Vanvleck for his “sense of humour”.

“Glad the Trooper had a fun loving heart,” said Ms Jeanie Sue Cater.
